Barry Johnson Design is a full service residential interior design firm based in Palo Alto California and launched in 2000.

Our goal is to create a finished product that expresses a client’s lifestyle, personality and entertaining style.  This goal is achieved by surrounding the client with colors, furnishings and finishes that speak to the spaces and the users. Interior design done well brings its own rewards.  We know this is a service business and a close relationship with the client is vital to success as is frequent communication. Collaboration with other design professions on
larger projects is what we do well.

Barry Johnson ASID, earned a B.S. in Environmental Design at University of California at Davis in 1981 and has worked as an interior designer from that date. A practice that is primarily residentially based has also included work designing retail stores and professional offices. Barry is known for his color sense and depth of experience in design. Projects have been managed in New York NY, Amagansett NY, Miami FL , St Louis Mo and Los Angeles CA.  One house project often leads to another home project for the same client. He designs furniture for the Kolkka Furniture Company and in 2009 opened Brick Monkey a retail home design store in Redwood City.
