Atherton Mid-Century

After much debate and plans for a new home these clients decided to honor the work of Bay Area architect William Wurster and remodel. The swimming pool became a theme for this project. Both in regards to the color of the water and the focus and use of the home. Accents of turquoise/teal float through the spaces. The swimming capped “Serena” artwork of the entry hall is a bold surprise that is either loved or not! Some terrific mid century abstract paintings were collected by the owners to both enjoy and to “speak ” to the architecture. Artwork created by family members is honored and displayed throughout the home as well.
